Disclaimer

Kineno is an editor-led discovery publication for influential ebooks and enduring books. This disclaimer explains exactly what our content is, what it is not, and the limits within which our reviews and summaries should be read.

Last updated · January 2026

1. Editorial nature

Everything Kineno publishes — reviews, summaries, key takeaways, "who should read this" sections, and curated recommendations — is editorial. Each piece reflects the considered opinion of our editors at the moment it was written, and is meant to help you decide whether a book is worth your time. None of it is a replacement for the act of reading the book itself.

Editorial work is also living work. We may revise reviews and summaries when our team rereads a book, when new editions appear, or when serious scholarship on a topic shifts our reading.

2. Not professional advice

Kineno covers books across philosophy, psychology, business, finance, productivity, self-improvement, behavioral science, and fiction. Many of those titles touch on subjects that look adjacent to professional advice — mental health, money, careers, relationships, medicine, or law.

Nothing on Kineno is intended as, or should be relied on as, professional medical, psychological, legal, financial, investment, tax, or career advice. The reflections of our editorial team and the contents of the books they discuss are not a replacement for the counsel of a qualified, licensed professional who knows your specific situation. Please seek that counsel where it matters.

3. Book metadata, ratings, and content

The metadata Kineno publishes — titles, authors, publication years, page counts, themes, ratings, difficulty, and tone — is a blend of editorial judgement and publicly available sources. We make a sincere effort to keep it accurate, but it is presented as a discovery aid and may differ from any given edition, translation, or printing of a particular book.

Ratings on Kineno are illustrative aggregate signals meant to set expectations. They are not, and do not claim to be, the official rating from any specific external service or platform.

4. No file hosting or distribution

Kineno does not host, distribute, mirror, sell, or share ebook files of any kind. Kineno is purely an editorial discovery service. Wherever a book page includes an external link, that link sends you to the publisher, bookseller, library platform, or authorized open archive that legitimately hosts the book — for example, Google Books, Goodreads, Amazon, or Project Gutenberg.

We strongly encourage readers to support the authors and publishers we cover by buying their books from official sources, borrowing them through a library, or downloading them from authorized open-archive providers.

5. External links

Kineno includes links to third-party websites for your convenience. We do not control the content, policies, accuracy, or availability of those sites and accept no responsibility for them. The inclusion of an external link is not an endorsement of that site or anything published on it.

6. Trademarks and cover artwork

Book titles, author names, and cover artwork displayed on Kineno are the intellectual property of their respective rights holders. They appear here strictly to identify the books we are editorially discussing, under principles of nominative fair use. Their presence does not imply that the rights holders endorse Kineno or that Kineno is affiliated with them.

If you are a rights holder and believe any content on Kineno has been used in a way that goes beyond editorial reference, please write to haithemhamtinee@gmail.com and we will review your concern promptly.

7. Advertising and affiliate disclosure

Kineno may now, or in the future, participate in third-party advertising programs and affiliate networks. Where that is the case, certain outbound links on Kineno may earn us a small commission at no additional cost to you. These relationships never influence which books we cover, how we review them, or how we rate them — editorial selection and ad partnerships are kept strictly separate.

8. AI-assisted summaries

Some Kineno summaries are drafted with the help of AI tools and then read, edited, and signed off by a human editor. We make a serious effort to ensure that AI-assisted content is accurate, fair, and consistent with the source material, but we cannot promise that every nuance is perfectly captured. Treat our summaries as condensed editorial overviews, not as authoritative substitutes for the original text.

9. Limitation of liability

Use of Kineno is at your own discretion and risk. Kineno, its editors, and its contributors will not be liable for any losses or damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of or reliance on the information presented on the Site. The full limitation of liability is set out in our Terms & Conditions.
